Hello Darling!
One of my favorite summer activities is hanging out with friends, especially my girls. With all our traveling, and busy work schedules though it’s hard to find the time to get together. However, last week we were all surprisingly in town and decided we were long over due for some girl time. So we planned a sweet summer picnic in the Heights. The Heights is one of my favorite areas in the Houston. From the stunning old homes, giant oak trees, and cute shops it’s the most darling area! When I found this cute park with a gazebo to shade us from the summer sun, I knew it was the perfect location for our picnic.
Summer Picnic Essentials
When it comes to planning a summer picnic their are definitely some essentials you need. As we were planning we decided to divide and conquer to make sure we had everything. Here was our essentials check list:
- Lauren brought the picnic blanket, and the cheese & charcuterie board
- Jess brought the picnic basket
- Kailey and Hailey brought the gorgeous flowers, Bom Pops, and Veuve ( bubbly is a summer picnic must! 😉 )
- I brought the champagne glasses and cooler to keep our bubbly and popsicles chilled
From catching up up on life, hearing all about Lauren’s recent wedding, to chatting about mommyhood with Hailey, and me trying a bom pop for the first time; it was such a fun afternoon! I am so thankful for all the amazing girlfriends in my life! This is definitely a summer tradition we plan to make!
