It’s Tayler and Hunter. Today is a very special post, we are sharing a relationship Q and A. Over the past few months we have received several relationship and marriage related questions as well as general questions about Hunter and I. So we thought it would be fun to put together a blog post answering all these questions and more.
Relationship Q and A
Q: How did y’all meet?
Tay– Hunter and I met in college through mutual friends. We both attended Dallas Baptist University. He was a basketball player and I was a music major. I would sing the national anthem at basketball games, and that was where he and I first noticed each other.
Q: How long did you two date before getting engaged?
Tay– We dated for four years
Hunter– Too Long
Tay– At least he said it and not me 😉 In all seriousness though it was the perfect amount of time for us. Looking back now we see God’s hand through it all.
Q: How long was your engagement?
Tay– We were engaged for 6 months. Since we dated for so many years we were ready to be married and did not want to have a long engagement.
Q: How long have you been married?
Hunter – We have been married for 2 years. Actually, we just celebrated our anniversary on March 17th.
Q: How do I meet someone special like Hunter?
Tay– Such a sweet question. He is very special! Pray- I prayed for years and years for Hunter. Our relationship is definitely not perfect nor are either of us but God’s plan is perfect. My advice for those that are praying and searching for their person is to take your time, give it to God and be content in who you are and who God made you to be. God will bring your person into your life at the right time and when you least expect it.
Q:What’s your number one piece of marriage advice?
Tay– I will let Hunter answer this one since we both have the same answer. 🙂
Hunter– Patience and communication. Marriage is hard work but so worth it. Be patient with each other and always communicate.
Q: How did you pick the part of town for your new house?
Tay – We did a lot of research when it came to this. There were a few areas that we had been looking at but ultimately we picked an area that we already loved and knew. It’s close to our church, friends and family.
Q: Do y’all want kids?
Tay and Hunter– Yes we do. Someday we would love to have kids but we are enjoying the season we are in now and know like all things , Gods timing is perfect.
Meet Birdie Girl
Speaking of kids, we are so excited to introduce to you to the newest member of our little family, our fur baby Birdie girl. The cutest and sweetest black lab puppy you have ever seen ( I’m not biased as all 😉 ).
Back in December we visited a friends hunting lodge in Omaha, NE. Apart of the lodge is also a kennel where they bread hunting dogs. It has been a dream of Hunters to have a black lab waterfowl hunting dog. Once we found out that they had a new litter of black lab puppies we started to pray and made the decision to expand our family. A few weeks ago, on our 2 year wedding anniversary weekend we flew back up to Omaha to pick up our girl. Needless to say we are IN LOVE! She is the sweetest.
As first time puppy parents we have a lot to learn, but could not be more excited to welcome this sweet girl in. You will be seeing quite a bit of her on here as well as Instagram. So make sure to continue to follow along.
