Hello Darling!
Back from the long Labor Day weekend in Dallas and so thankful for such a fun few days. If you have been following along for awhile now, you probably know that Dallas holds a special place in Hunter and I’s hearts. Having gone to college there, we have lots of family and friends who live there. So we decided to spend our long weekend visiting one our favorite cities.
Recap Of Our Fun Labor Day Weekend In Dallas
The first few days were spent visiting and staying at my Sister and Brother-in-laws. They were married this past February so it was so much fun getting to stay at their new apartment. We spent Saturday relaxing, walking the Katy Trail, and exploring some of our favorite Dallas spots. Sunday we were so excited to check into the Omni Dallas as it is one of our favorite hotels to stay when we visit Dallas.
Mokara Spa Day
We started the day with an afternoon at the Mokara spa for a couples spa day. The four of us enjoyed their signature Mokara facials and massages. It truly was such a relaxing afternoon.
The lounge at the Mokara Spa is one of my favorites because it has the most spectacular views of downtown Dallas. It is such a fun spot to enjoy some tea, or maybe even a glass of champagne. Also, how cute are the guys? 😉
After the spa, we headed to their gorgeous pool to relax and work on our tans. We enjoyed a few yummy cocktails and snacked on their hummus and veggie tray. It was the perfect end to our spa day.
We ended our Sunday evening celebrating one of my very best friends engagements at Jalisco Norte. (Note- if you are looking for a good Mexican Food spot in Dallas I recommend checking Jalisco Norte out 100%. SO good!) It was so much fun getting to see so many loved ones and celebrate together!
Labor Day Breakfast At Texas Spice
We started our Labor Day out at Texas Spice, one of the Omni’s 7 on site restaurants. My sister and brother in law met us for breakfast and we were all blown away by how delicious it was. I have had the pleasure of dinging at Texas Spice several times during previous stays but this was the first time dining with them for breakfast. We opted for their incredible breakfast buffet. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. From the fresh fruit, omelet station, skillet cinnamon rolls this breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had.
We were surprised with the sweetest visit and treat from their Sous Chef. He made us the most delicious bacon stuffed waffles with a pouched egg on top. Yes, it was just as good as it sounds. We definitely indulged for the holiday!
We ended breakfast by sitting out on the gorgeous patio enjoying a cup of coffee. It truly was the perfect end to our Labor Day weekend.
I hope you had the most wonderful Labor Day weekend. If you are already thinking about a fun spot to visit or stay next year I could not recommend Dallas more. You will love the Omni and all that it has to offer. I’ve linked my entire weekend bag for you to shop below.
YOU ARE SO LOVED!
XOXO,Tay
