Our Gender Reveal Celebrations | We Are Having….

Hello Darling!

We are having….. A GIRL!!!! Oh my goodness my heart is so happy to share that! The past few days have been filled with such fun gender reveal celebrations with friends and family. I am so excited to share all the details today on how we found out about our precious baby girl

To preface, I truly had no idea what the gender was going to be. Hunter on the other hand was set on a girl from the very start. We came out of our first ultrasound at 8 weeks with him saying he thought it was a girl. Now, he is super intuitive and I have learned to rely on him when it comes to intuition. So because he so strongly felt it was a girl, I knew he was probably going to be right and he was!

Our Gender Reveal Celebrations

Gender Reveal #1 | Confetti Cannons 

Our first gender reveal and the day we found out about baby girl was this past Sunday at my Grandparents farm. My entire family was in attendance and some of our very best friends. We spent the day hanging out on the farm, catching up, listening to music and playing games. It was so overwhelming to see how many family members and friends came in town for this special day.

My sister was the first person to know the gender. I had my nurse call her last Monday with the big news and she kept it in so well. I am telling you, she is a vault! Which in this situation I am super thankful for. We had made the decision on confetti cannons for our first reveal and it was so much fun. We stood outside, and were handed the correct color cannons by my sister. Note- for anyone else thinking of doing this she had the great idea to cover the color indicator on the bottom of the tube with tape so no one would see.

We waited for the count down and popped the cannons. Well, Hunter did at least. It was so funny, I was so nervous and just could not seem to get the cannon to open. As soon as Hunters went off I did not even care and threw  my cannon down without even popping it! Typical Tayler fashion. 😉 Don’t worry Hunt eventually popped that cannon as well.

We ended the celebrations with popping several bottles of champagne and with sweet toasts and prayers made by my Daddy. It truly was a day we will remember forever.

Gender Reveal #2 | Fireworks 

Our second gender reveal was last night with Hunters family. Due to previous engagements his family was not able to make it on Sunday. So we thought why not have a second gender reveal for the Gilbert family. My sweet Sister In Law led the party up and it was a BLAST! Hunters Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins were all in attendance and we were so excited to share the big news with them all!

In true Texas fashion this party was filled with Mexican food, margaritas, and FIREWORKS. Hunters parents live on some land in the country so we thought it would be so fun to share this incredible news with a bang! It honestly was fun to be on the “knowing” side of this party. Hearing everyones guesses and getting to set off fireworks for our baby girl.

The past few days have been filled with memories we will remember forever! We have been so overwhelmed by all the love our sweet baby girl has already received and feel beyond blessed to have such supportive and loving friends and family.

We are SO excited to share this news with you today! As I have always said, the TaylerMalott.com community is family to us and it means the world that we get to share this with you. We can’t wait to welcome this sweet baby girl into the world. Only 6 more months to go so in the meantime, I’m ready to start buying all the bows in the world. 😉
