House Update: We're Building A House In Houston

Hello Darling!

SURPRISE!!! This post has been a long time coming! I am so excited to finally announce that WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE IN HOUSTON!!! This secret has been so hard to keep but I could not be more thrilled to finally let you in on the exciting news.

We’re Building A House In Houston

You may remember last April, me sharing that we were starting the house hunting process. After spending countless hours, many weekends, and endless amount of prayerful nights we finally decided that we were going to build. We found the most beautiful “city home” (aka- a free standing townhome) community right across the highway from where we are currently living. It is also right down the street from our new church building. It truly was an answer to all of our prayers.

We have learned so much throughout this building process but mostly that good things happen to those who wait. 😉 Here’s a little timeline for you- we decided to build in May, permits took about 4 months to be approved ( after hurricane Harvey permits were extremely backed up in Houston), started building in September, September was extremely raining so it was not until October that the majority of the building process started. Now we are almost exactly a year since we started the house hunt and will be closing/moving in towards the end this next month. I truly can’t believe it! God is so good!

With all the delays, I wanted to wait to tell you the exciting news when things were a little bit further along. Now that we are so close I can’t wait to continue to bring you along this entire process. I will be sharing some Instagram story updates throughout the next few weeks as well as more blogs posts with updates, design ideas, and all things home. So make sure to stay tuned. Design Inspo

I have slowly started to plan and gather some design inspo. Most of the furniture we have now has been passed down from our parents, went with us through college, and into marriage. Needless to say it is time to start a new. So we will be selling the majority of the furniture we have now and starting from scratch.
