Hello Darling!
This past weekend I had the honor a privilege of throwing my sister a bridal tea shower along with my sweet cousins and aunt. It truly was a day we will remember forever! We had such a blast planning it and it was so much fun to see our vision come to life. This was my first time hosting a bridal tea and I definitely learned a lot throughout the process. So today, I thought I would sharing everything you need to know about hosting a bridal tea party.
Hosting a Bridal Tea Party
1.Fill the space with gorgeous florals.
It is such a fun way to decorate your tables and fills the room with the most amazing smell. I picked up these beauties from my favorite local florist, JoyBox. It made our tables even more beautiful and was such a fun gift to send home with the bride after the party. If you are looking for a florist in the Houston area I could not recommend them more!
2. Serve some bubbles.
No tea is complete without some sparkling rosé. Before everyone arrived we filled up the glasses at the table with my favorite, Risata Sparkling Rosé. We also placed another bottle by each table in an ice bucket filled with flower ice cubes. We found this idea via Pinterest and thought it would add the perfect touch.
3. Set your table before guests arrive.
Since we wanted everyone to enjoy a beautiful high tea together we made sure to plan and set the tables before everyone arrived. Each place setting included a service plate, a salad plate, cup and saucer, salad fork, teaspoon, napkin, water glass, and champagne glass filled with Risata Sparkling Rosé.
We also placed a serving stand on each table filled with tea snacks. Such as, tea sandwiches, petafores, macaroons, and chocolate covered strawberries. To top the table off we placed a sugar bowl and cream for all the ladies to pour into their tea or coffee.
4. Incorporate some personalized items.
When hosting a bridal shower it is so fun to incorporate some fun personalized items for the the bride. For my sisters we ordered a bride tea cup and saucer, a Mrs. champagne flute, and had some fun balloons with her new last name for decoration placed behind her seat at the table. All of these were budgets friendly and super cute! She loved getting to take these gifts home to enjoy and to always remember her shower by.
5. Have an area for guests to sign a guest book or keepsake.
We found an idea online to use a teapot as a keepsake for everyone to sign. So we order a white teapot and a gold oil based sharpie marker and placed it out with a sign asking everyone to kindly sign it. Then after everyone left we baked the teapot in the oven at 350 degrees F for 30min. *Make sure to let the bride know to hand wash her teapot only.
6. Have a cake for the bride to practice cutting.
It is so fun to have a cake for everyone but to also have it for the bride to practice cutting the cake. We decorated her gorgeous cake with a personalized topper that I bought here.
7. Have an area decorated for guests to take photos in front of with the bride.
We wanted a cute area that would be fun for the guests to take photos with my sister. So we order a super fun balloon garland from BAB (located in Houston and Dallas) and placed it over the mantel for guest to take photos in front of. We also placed a chair in front of it for my sister to sit and open her gifts. It truly created the perfect photo worthy spot. 🙂

This bridal tea was more than I ever imagined it being. We had such a blast hosting it and I could not recommend this idea more if you are looking to host a bridal shower in the future. I have placed more details on our decor, and such below.
