Hello Darling!

Holiday traditions are such a beautiful thing.  Getting together every year with the ones you love and building memories that will last a lifetime is something that I always look forward to. There have been many holiday traditions that my family and I have made throughout the years. One in particular is our Christmas Eve tradition.

Every year on Christmas Eve, we come home from church and my parents give my sister and I one present to open. This present is always matching Christmas pajamas. We then put on our new pj’s, bake Christmas cookies for Santa, make homemade hot chocolate, and dance around the kitchen listening to Christmas music. This tradition is by far my favorite we have made and I am so thankful for the memories that come with it. As the years have gone by, and as the family has grown bigger the tradition has and will change a little bit but it will always be something I hold near and dear to my heart.

So today, I thought it would be so fun to share this holiday tradition and also share our homemade hot chocolate recipe.

*serving size: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 cups of milk ( Any type of milk will do. I use almond milk since I am lactose intolerant )
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  • Whisk together cocoa, sugar, salt,4 tbsp of milk in a sauce pan over medium-low heat until
  • Whisk until cocoa and sugar and completely dissolved
  • Whisk in the rest of the milk and heat it over medium heat
  • Whisk until desired heat
  • Stir in vanilla
  • Add your favorite toppings ( marshmallosw, peppermint, whip cream, or even add a splash of Baileys for a kick)
  • Cheers and serve! 🙂

I hope this post brings you joy. What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay
