Hello Darling!
I hope you are having fabulous week! We are only days away before fall officially begins and I could not be more excited. If you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen that I have been decorating away. Bringing out all the pumpkins, and fall candles. There is something about the changing of seasons that brings me so much joy. As we transition into fall you may be preparing to change up your closet a bit. Just because it is a new season does not mean you have to put all of your summer pieces way. In fact today, I am sharing how you can turn a summer dress into a fall dress.
How To Turn A Summer Dress Into A Fall Dress
There are so many fun ways you can turn a summer dress into a fall dress. This is something that I have been practicing for years. Living in Texas, though we so badly would like to transition into cozy sweaters and over the knee boots as soon as the season changes but most years that is not something that happens. We usually have to wait well into November to enjoy the fall weather. This has not stopped me from changing up my wardrobe though. There are two simple steps I follow to turn a summer dress into fall dress.
Add a cute jacket
By adding a jacket you easily turn your summer dress into a fall dress. Add a leather jacket if you are rocking your summer dress in cooler temps or add a jean jacket as I did if you are dreaming of cooler temps in a warmer fall weather.
Add some fall textures
From velvet, to suede, and leather by adding some fun fall textures you can change your whole look. With this dress I am wearing here I added my favorite suede flats to top off my fall look.
Turning a summer dress into a fall dress is so simple and easy. Whether you are in Texas dreaming of fall like me or if you are enjoying cooler temperatures this is something we can all do. A great way to utilize the pieces you already have in your closet this fall.
YOU ARE SO LOVED!
