Hello Darling,
I am so excited to finally share my trip to Colorado with you.
Colorado has always been one of my favorite places in the world. The majority of my family members grew up in some part of Colorado so most my summers have consisted of vacationing there. I have such wonderful memories there. Horse backing riding, fishing, hiking, the smell of the Colorado summer rain- are just a few of my favorites.
This year was nothing short of amazing. We were able to go for a long weekend for a family reunion and it was just the vacation I needed. Even Hunter was able to come along, which was a huge plus. Lucky, all of the men in my family did not scare him away 😉
This year we went to Denver first, Grand Lake second, and Estes Park last. Here is a little video of what our trip looked like.
These are few of our favorite things we did while we were there.
Downtown Denver-
- Walking around Union Station (the cutest shops and cafés)
- Brunch at Snooze (AMAZING- the breakfast buritto with green chili is to die for)
Winter Park Ski Resort ( this is where we were able to enjoy a little rain shower)-
- They have the cutest shops, bars, and cafés to enjoy during the summer
Grand Lake-
- We stayed the night at the cutest cabin- Gateway Inn
- Celebrated my parents wedding anniversary at Terrace Inn (My dad and Hunter said Bison Meatloaf is a must there)
- The downtown area is such a beautiful place to enjoy a little shopping and ice cream (there are 3 or 4 ice cream shops just on one street alone- can you say heaven?!?)
Rocky Mountain National Park-
- Hiking on the trail
- Driving up to the summit
- Seeing the “Never Summer” mountains
Estes Park-
- Visiting the Stanley Hotel ( the hotel that my parents spent their wedding night and yes the hotel from The Shining haha)
- Staying at a beautiful cabin at the YMCA
- Downtown area- beautiful shops, fun festivals, live music, amazing food, and again lots of ice cream.
Boulder-
- Vintage shopping on Pearl Street (found my vintage Louis Vuitton here )
- Eating at Mountain Sun (amazing black-bean burger)
This was such a fun trip and I loved sharing it with you on snapchat as I was there. If you missed it , don’t worry. You can follow along with more fun by adding me now- TAYEMALOTT.
