Hello Darling!
I am so excited to finally share with you a look at our classic holiday home decor. This first Christmas in our new home has already been so sweet. When planning our holiday decor, I wanted to go the classic route. Filling our space with colors and decor that reminded me of a cozy Christmas cottage, or something you might see in an old Christmas movie. Going with reds, greens, warm faux fur items, wreaths on the windows, and a tree that takes you back in time to your childhood. So without further a do, here is a look at my classic holiday home decor.
A Look At Our Classic Holiday Home Decor
Going from an apartment to a home we did have to buy quite a few things this year. However, I wanted to find a way to incorporate and invest in budget friendly items. Everything you see today was either bought at Target, Home Goods, Amazon or Hobby Lobby. That’s right, there is no need to break the bank to achieve a beautiful, classic look.
Living Room
The main focal point of all of our holiday decor lies within our living room. We wanted to create and inviting space where family and friends could come, relax and cozy up around the fire place. One thing I did this year was coordinate gift boxes with our decor. I picked these adorable gift boxes up from Target and just think they are the BEST!
Mantel
Our mantel was one of my favorite spots to decorate this year. Since I was a little girl I dreamed of having my own fire place to decorate and hang stockings. With our growing family we invested in new stockings this year and I went with neutral faux fur to enhance that cozy, cottage look I was trying to achieve. For the mantel itself I mixed in several different garland to achieve the look I wanted. I mixed faux Cypress, and Magnolia garland then added pops of red berry stems. To finish it off, I bought a variety of battery operated candles to turn on in the evening.
Coffee Table
For our coffee table I simply just added a jar of candy, a holiday candle, placed some faux cedar stems within a vase and put some extra Christmas ornaments in a pretty bowl. Super easy and yet still makes a statement.
Holiday Bar Cart
A holiday bar cart is always so fun! I wanted to keep it simple, classic, and elegant. I played around with our glassware, and incorporated pops of red by adding pomegranates, and flowers. To top of the holiday bar cart I picked up these adorable Christmas glassware from Home Goods and added a bottle of champagne. Nothing says the holidays like Champagne. 😉
Kitchen & Dining Area
Our kitchen and dining area was SO fun to decorate. With our big open windows I knew I had to add some beautiful wreaths. Luckly I found these at Target and bought some red ribbon on Amazon to add to them for a nice holiday touch. To keep our holiday center piece simple I added a pretty red berry garland and an assortment of candles to light when guests come over.
Entry Way
Last but not least our entry way. I wanted to create an entry way that would automatically welcome anyone with that warm holiday feel. I simply just added red berries to our vases, set out a Christmas candle and also incorporated some old fashion ornaments I picked up last year from a Christmas market. Voilá, you have a simple yet wonderful holiday entry way.
Decorating for the holidays is truly my absolute favorite. Filling a space to welcome your loved ones could not be any sweeter. We will be hosting Christmas at our house this year and I could not be more excited! I hope you enjoyed this look into our holiday home decor and if you are still looking for pieces to fill your home I hope it brought you some holiday inspiration.
YOU ARE SO LOVED!
XOXO,Tay
