Had to throw this one in because, look how handsome he is 😉
Hello Darling!
A few weeks ago Hunter and I spent a week in 30A and it is our favorite. This is a trip that Hunter and his family have been taking every summer since he was a baby. So naturally when we started dating 5 years ago I began to come on the trips with them. So, I thought it would be fun to share a little travel guide of our favorite places in 30A.
First, a little information about 30A. If you have never been it can be a little confusing. 30A is actually a small highway along Florida’s gulf coast. Besides the beautiful clear water, white sand beaches, and beautiful lakes that you will find along this highway what truly makes this area so special are the many different small beach towns that you will find along the way. It is a perfect place to bring your family, friends, and loved ones.
Areas That we Love –
There are so many incredible areas to visit on 30A. As I said above 3oA is filled with adorable little quant beach towns. A few of our favorites are Dune Allen, WaterColor, Seaside, Alys Beach, and Rosemary.
Dune Allen– This is the area that we stayed in this year and we truly enjoyed it. A beautiful area filled with coastal dune lakes, a gorgeous golf course, and cute shops in walking distance. You can find their beaches filled with lot’s of families.
WaterColor– A newer area in 30A where you can find the gorgeous WaterColor Inn & Resorts. This area has everything from bike trails, shopping and fitness. You can find many families here relaxing on the beach, and driving around in their golf carts as they enjoy all that this area has to offer.
Seaside– One of our all time FAVORITE areas in 30A. The most picturesque little beach town that you will ever see!! A family friendly area filled with the cutest shops, pastel colored homes, food trucks, restaurants, and so much more. Trust me, this small beach town will have you never wanting to leave.
Alys Beach– One of the newest developments along 30A and let me just tell you this area will leave you speechless. From the gorgeous white homes, striking architecture, and cobblestone streets you will feel as if you have jetted off somewhere far far away. This area is extremely relaxed and quiet. A perfect getaway for any couple.
Rosemary– Another newer area along 30A right down the street from Alys Beach. This area is another one of Hunter and I’s favorites. From the gorgeous wooded areas, cobblestone streets, adorable shops, magnificent homes and carriage houses this area is an absolute dream! Every time I walk through the streets of Rosemary I feel as if I am no longer in Florida, but somewhere in Europe. It is extremely family friendly but in a more relaxed and quiet setting.
Stay –
There are seriously so many incredible places to stay in 30A. Since we travel every year with the whole family we always opt for renting a house. This year we stayed in this gorgeous white beach house in Dune Allen. We go through Five Star Properties to find our homes and have always loved our accommodations.
If you are looking to stay at a resort I would recommend these two-
The Pearl Hotel Rosemary Beach
Food/Drinks-
Sunrise Coffee Company in Gulf Place In walking distance from our house this was a wonderful place to grab coffee or a mimosa in the morning.
Pizza By the Sea in Gulf Place Right down the street from where we stayed. A wonderful place for a quick bite and great pizza.
Bud & Alleys in Seaside. Every year we eat lunch here at least once during our stay. Incredible poboys, and tuna dip. If you go, make sure to sit at the rooftop bar. It has an incredible view of Seaside.
The Taco Bar in Seaside. This was the first time that we actually tried the Taco Bar on this trip and we LOVED it! Just walk up,order delicious tacos, chips and salsa, a cold Marg, and head to the beach.
Raw and Juicy in Seaside The cutest shop and walk up bar where you can grab fresh juice, coconuts and cocktails. Our favorite was the fresh coconut with prosecco inside.
George’s in Alys Beach. A relaxing restaurant to sit, enjoy a glass of rosé or champagne and take in the gorgeous views of Alys Beach. Hunter and I love their lobster quesadillas, and spicy salt and pepper shrimp.
Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary. Hunter and I went here 3 times during our week in 30A so it’s safe to say that we are in LOVE. Sweet people, amazing location, delicious food and good drinks. My favorite was their taco salad, and Hunters was their macho dip and chips.
La Crema in Rosemary. One of the most magical restaurants in 30A. Hunter took me out for a special date night in Rosemary during our stay and let me tell you, such a romantic spot! From the stringed lights outside, cobblestone walkways, and incredible tapas you feel as if you are in a café in Barcelona. Everything on the menu is to die for, our favorites were the honey goat cheese stuffed piquillos, seafood paella, empanadas, and of course their red sangria. ( A little note- make sure to get there early especially if you are dining for dinner. It was a 3 hr wait for us and many say that is normal. So worth it though )
The Pearl Hotel Rooftop bar in Rosemary. – A fun place to enjoy some yummy cocktails while listening to a DJ and taking in the gorgeous views of Rosemary Beach.
Other fun Activities-
Paddleboarding- Our paddle board rentals have always come with the house we stay in and it’s so much fun. There are several stores along 30A though where you can rent one for a day or for the whole week.
Bike Riding- This is by far one of Hunt and I’s favorite things to do along 30A. It allows you to see all the different beach towns, stunning lakes, and gorgeous homes. The bikes also came with the house but you can rent them at several different bike shops along 30A as well.
Shopping (of course)- My favorite areas to shop are in Seaside and Rosemary Beach.
We have so many incredible memories in 30A and can’t wait to make more in the future. I hope you enjoy this fun guide. If you have any questions, I would love to hear them! I have linked all of my outfits from the trip below.
